The Real Santa

My name is Steven Wickham and for over forty years I have worked as a professional actor in all branches of the industry, including Television, Theatre, Film, Commercials and Voice Work.

As the years have encroached so the beard has grown thicker and whiter and I have found myself working as Santa Claus or Father Christmas in more and more professional arenas.

I have also appeared as Santa Claus for friends' private parties but also been hired for a number of world famous companies for their Christmas parties such as banking company FTSE and analytical giant FactSet both based in the City of London, Notting Hill Community Church/Strawberry Fields Nursery, Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford, The North Malden Miniature Steam Railway, Maggie and Rose children centres in Kensington & Chiswick. I have been part of the Christmas lights turn on for the Angel Centre Islington and the Southside shopping centre Wandsworth.

In May 2013 I was fortunate enough to work with Brendan O'Carroll and his wonderful extended family in the 'Mrs Brown's Boys' Christmas special episode entitled 'Buckin' Mammy', where I played 'The Real Santa Claus'. I was immediately taken to the heart of this amazing group of performers and was swiftly told that I was part of the family. Little Jamie O'Carroll (the real grandson of Brendan who plays Bono Brown) was heard to say quietly to his mum "I think he actually is the real Santa Claus"
